2018 Lombardi Vote Summary

Hi all,

 

The voting has concluded. Thank you for participating. We had 28-29 votes (depending on topic) out of 31 veteran owners, which is a very solid turnout compared to a few years ago.

I have updated it to match the formatting of other ZFL Rules Documents. Nate, Chris, and I are still double-checking it, but it has been updated with the rule changes. Please let me know ASAP if you notice any errors or inconsistencies.

 

Summary of Rule Changes

(The first three were implemented via vote)

• Offensive starting lineups will replace one of the RB-only slots with an O-Flex (RB/WR/TE) slot.
• Injured Reserve was increased to six players from four. Owners may now activate up to two players from their IR slot that were previously designated and activated by their NFL team.
• RFA nominations have been permanently increased from 2 to 4 for each owner.
• All players signed to an NFL contract are eligible whether or not they are listed in the MFL database
• Expanded the pool of rookies eligible for the annual rookie draft regardless of if they were drafted or signed an undrafted FA contract
• Determined that Partial Lineups are not allowed
• Playoff Seeding was modified so that the top 2 division winners are seeded #1 & #2, and the remaining 4 playoff teams are seeded (#3-#6). Previously the division winners were guaranteed seeds #1-#4.
• Modified the Playoff Tie-Breakers, so that they apply to the entire playoffs, including the championship game
• Added scoring for "Safeties for 1 point" - 2 points awarded to player
• Added scoring for "Defensive Conversion Returns" - 2 points awarded to player
• Players may not be traded or dropped once their game has kicked off for the week.
