    I can't remember and can't find in the rules. Is there a process if I want to bid on a player not in MFL?

      Yes there is. I was able to enter him and you can now start your auction. One note, the MLF site usually adds players once they are officially on the NFL Teams 53 man roster. So I will monitor the site if you do win the auction. If MLF adds him I will then unload the custom player and then add the correct MLF player.
